Historical Information

Norwegian immigrants looking to preserve their heritage and obtaining insurance for their families founded the Sons of Norway in Minnesota at the end of the 19th Century. Restauration Lodge was started in Cedar Rapids, Iowa in 1975 by a small group of mostly second generation Norwegians looking to preserve the heritage that they and their parents held so dear. The lodge is located in the First District and is the five hundred and forty eighth lodge to be chartered (thus 1-548).
